Clarification about the grades...

cleric pointed out that the final grades were not matching the sum of the criterion averages.

This happens because the extra points are not considered when a judge gives 100 points to a contestant. The max. amount of points is 100, so we don't consider everything that exceeds this. The final grades are calculated based on each judge finals.... and when I calculated the individual criterion averages I didn't think about the extra points causing this discrepancy. Now that I noticed it... I'll have to think on a way to fix this. :/  Maybe we shouldn't add any more extra points to our contests... Idk yet.

Why we use extra points?

Because we want to reward effort on extra content that were not required by the qualification rules. But we can't damage the other contestant's grades by doing that... (including a regular criterion of "extra content" would make the other contestants's grades (who did not make the extra content) to get lowered, so we make an extra criterion aside from the initial 100 points to do that).

We want to give a boost to the contestants who put effort on extra content, but at the same time it must be a fair and balanced contest. So if the contestants reaches 100 points without the extra content... the extra points are disconsidered.

For example: one player makes 103 points and another makes 100 points... the one who made 103 points got it by making extra content for his/her job, but they'll tie in first place with 100 points because they both did extremely well on the required criteria, and what matters is doing good on the required criteria, more than working on extra content.

I hope everything I wrote here makes a little of sense. o.o
