Design this. Design that. I could name multiple events that contain those words. And it doesn't come as a surprise that players who are good in drawing or are masters of digital art, often win those events too. I want to give the other players of TOP a chance to win for once, in an event that doesn't require skills to win.

During this event we'll go back to being 8 years old. Using colored pencils or wax crayons we will unleash our creativity on a piece of white paper, and color 1 of the 3 drawings IGG provided. And yes you guessed it right, we'll color by hand!! No digital arts, no paints, and no cardboard crafts.

Not everyone has the skills to design or draw, but everyone can color!! A perfect event for everyone who always felt left out during the other design events. But don't be foolish! We expect to recieve some nice work that's worthy of a reward. The judge team will rate each coloring submitted in this event with an amount of points. These points can be scored in:

* Coloring within the lines
Well... we won't disqualify you if you make a mistake. But your coloring should still be recognizable in the end.

* Shadow effects & textures
The use of shadow in your coloring. Like when the light comes from above there's often a small shadow on your head caused by your hair.

* Color & contrast
Some colors work very well with others, while some form a contrast. That doesn't have to be a bad thing though, some contrasts are very pleasing.

* Creativity
Will you stay realistic or try out something new? A traditional or a 70's look? Be creative and turn your coloring into something cool!!


Time and Place:
August 23rd to September 4th
All TOP1 and TOP2 servers

Location: TOP Media Room » Drawing
All threads need to wear the [Coloring event] tag, followed by a short name you gave to your work.

This event will coexist with: Venture Into the Dark Side of Astral Isle!. Of course you can enter in both events at the same time.


Prizes you can win:
1st to 3rd place will win: Caribbean apparel set + Carcass of Death + 9*Lv.5 Sandbag
4th to 10th place will win: Carcass of Death + 9*Lv.5 Sandbag
11th to 13th place will win: 3*Million Dollar Note


Rules and conditions:
- Only colored pencils, pens (or fineliners), markers or wax crayons are allowed. No paint, aquarell, charcoal, chalk, graphite pencils.
- Only a scan of your coloring or (digital) photo are allowed to be submitted. Digital colorings or edits will not be accepted. All must be done by hand.
- Players are allowed to submit only 1 of the 3 drawings for the event. Only those 3 drawings can be used.
- Only the character has to be colored. Background and other things added don't count.
- Plagiarism or inappropriate content will be disqualified.
- Moderators and admins are allowed to disqualify entries which violate the forum rules.
- Each forum account and IP address is allowed to enter the event once.
- The new judgeteam will form the winners list. Judges or moderators entering this event will be excluded from voting.

For this event you can only submit 1 colored drawing. Only these 3 drawings will be accepted as legal event material.
Best option is to resize the image to A4-format. Or copy it to a Microsoft Word document and make it fit the entire page.
If you have problems downloading or printing then let me know.

I went to sad panda mode  xD. I get really scared went it comes to coloring by hand. I've messed up countless times in my life, and besides I recently destroyed the new pack of colored pencils my parents bought trying to kill a bug that got into my room from outside ._.

I hope one day there is an event like that =P
