It is 100%... Ofc when you use fruits .

Always use fruits on lv4 and higher.

Ref gem with out fruit is NOT 100% success, Mine failed a number of times (the last being yesterday)

TOP

what about ref lv4 and above with cata but not fruit?

i guess it was cuz i was too lucky that time that i combined to a lv6 gem of soul with just 1 cata -.- then the doom comes to me when i combine ref, which is way more expensive than gem of soul zzz

A very nice guide indeed.
However in the Pliering section there's something confusing:

"The last gem forged on the first socket will be removed. This means the last gems added will be the last ones to be removed, so think twice before forging that lame gem with a pretty glow, leave those to the end and forge earlier the definitive gems.

For example: A piece of armor with 3 sockets - lvl 3 Gem of Colossus + lvl 1 Undead Azreal + lvl 3 Chipped Gem of Colossus

When you plier a gem, you'll remove a "lvl 3 Gem of Colossus" leaving your armor like this: 3 sockets - lvl 2 Gem of Colossus + lvl 1 Undead Azreal + lvl 3 Chipped Gem of Colossus

If you want to remove the Undead Azreal from this equipment you'll have to plier it 4 times in order to remove the 3 Chipped Gems of Colossus first and only then being able to plier the Undead Azreal."

You say "the last gem added will be the last one to be removed" but then "leave those(the lame gems) to the end and forge earlier the definitive gems", isn't that contradictory?

For that matter I would like to ask something as I am confused myself:
e.g
I want to reforge my sword which has 3 empty sockets with Azreal glare, Rage and Chipped Rage.
Now I want to forge it in a way that the Chipped Rage(lame Gem) can be pliered first. What would be the correct order to forge the Chipped Gem?
Very first or Very last?

The example is also confusing:
"When you plier a gem, you'll remove a "lvl 3 Gem of Colossus" leaving your armor like this: 3 sockets - lvl 2 Gem of Colossus + lvl 1 Undead Azreal + lvl 3 Chipped Gem of Colossus"

Now if I want to remove Undead Azreal wouldn't I have to plier just another 3 times, the 2 first times for "lvl 2 Gem of Colossus" and "lvl 1 Gem of Colossus" and the 3rd time for the Undead Azreal. In the end only the chipped colo gems would be left in the equipment.

You misunderstand his saying.
You have to read the whole sentence to understand what he means, not just cut out one part of the sentence. (It's like a TOEFL iBT test, read the whole sentence, not just looking for keywords, you will be deceived =0 )

"The last gem forged on the first socket will be removed" =>Nothing's wrong with your understanding.
"This means the last gems added will be the last ones to be removed, so think twice before forging that lame gem with a pretty glow, leave those to the end and forge earlier the definitive gems" => you have to read the whole sentence to understand that he only says "leave those to the end and forge earlier the definitive gem" is a bad example which will ruin your equip. He doesn't recomment you to do it. He tells you to avoid doing that.

So in your example, forge in following order : chipped rage => rage => azzarel (if you think you will plier azzarel later, then chipped rage => azzarel => rage).

Just remember: 1st gem forged => 1st socket. Last gem forged => last socket. You can only plier the 1st socket before moving to plier the 2nd socket gem.
You will be fine.

That's always a mystery. Could it be becuz that that sword was forged a glare in the 1st slot before then got pliered. Now it keeps staying in the 1st slot. That's what I guess.

probably coz the sword he used is the onhe he buy from otehrs and not gems it from scratch like a few people in the gui;d
